About the role: AO6 Compliance officer

Location: Nundah, QLD

Start Date: ASAP

Engagement Type: Labour hire

Contract Length: 12-months

Pay: $79.17per hour + super

Hours: Full time with hybrid model

Role Overview:

Provide quality assurance and manage RTO compliance to ensure alignment with Vocational Education and Training (VET) legislation and the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Review and develop specialized training products and curriculum designs to meet client operational capability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage organizational RTO compliance in alignment with current legislation and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain plans, schedules, and version control for training policies, procedures, and manuals.
  • Coordinate regional RTO audit plans and provide post-audit compliance reports with rectification recommendations.
  • Offer expert advice on curriculum design and support training staff in maintaining qualifications for effective program delivery.
  • Review assessment strategies and training materials to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate regulatory requirements and compliance issues to senior management.
  • Maintain industry stakeholder engagement to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.

Key Capabilities & Qualifications

  • Hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or have the ability to obtain it.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in a compliance or quality assurance role within an RTO environment.
  • Proven experience or knowledge in project management methodologies.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain administrative processes, quality control, and version control systems.
  • Expertise in analyzing audit data and producing comprehensive written compliance reports.

Other Requirements

  • Capacity to be appointed as an Authorised Rescue Officer (Client uniformed position).
  • Ability to work night/weekends and participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster during emergency operations.
  • Willingness to travel to rural, remote, or interstate locations for deployment activities as necessary.
